Today was tiring
My class and me had kayaking at changi...quite near my house by car
i got sunburned....but it does'nt hurt...
i'm only feeling very hot
today we or in this case my class learned how to paddle the kayak...
Fred and me know how to do it...so do the NCC and NPCC guys
the instructor made us stand in the hot sun doing paddles in thin air....it was...
dumb...
Then we had the water confidence thing...
we had to swim out and back to shore
well i found it a little difficult
i have'nt swam for at least 4 years....
David can't swim
can you believe it???
and people think he could do anything...hah..
one thing he can't do
well eventually he learned how to swim....
after almost pulling Darryl down into the water....
Muderous intent!!!
the water was choppy today...
i got 2 mounthfulls of seawater....
i made my throat feel very dry and my mouth very salty...
then we had to clamp our arms to each others and go into the water and lie on your back so your feet go up...
its all part of getting you comfortable with the water....
we are having capsize drill tommorow...
you have to capsize you kayak on purpouse and you have to get out of it...
you will taste seawater again and your hair will get salty..
we were supposed to do it today but it was postponed
we only learned how to drain the water out of the kayak...
the key is
COMMUNICATION
as said by my instructor
later on we helped do the same thing on a BIG dragon boat which another school has used..
lazy buggers lol
it was fun because we were slacking....everytime we turned it over...
more water would be collected..
it was a hopeless task until someone suggested that people go up on the boat to use buckets to throw out water....
damn that David....randomly spalshing water at me!!!!
after all that there was a swimming test for 3 people who did'nt take it earlier...David included
David was scared....
its just water....and theres an instructor there and classmates...
a while later guess what
he could swim!!!!
later on when to bathe blah blah blah eat lunch.....
the toilet where we bathed was like army style.....only a few cubicles to bathe in....
everyone bathes together....of course wearing swimming trunks or shorts...
but SOMEONE had to be very bold and wear nothing!!!

luckily there were no girls looking into the toilet(the toilet is easily visible from outside)
but normally its the boys who.....erm......
