I bought Electornic Gaming Monthly today for a specific reason.
Halo 3
Its so nice!!!!!!
The graphics and details have greatly improved!!!!!
So its basically a 19-page long article about all the new stuff in Halo 3.
There are at least 3 new vehicles and 4 or 5 new weapons plus new multiplayer maps.
New weapons:
The spiker
The mauler
The new rifle which is similar to Halo 1's rifle
and the Gravity Hammer (The one tartarus was using)
In Halo 3 don't expect the brutes to just stand there and get killed....even on normal.(Easy is for losers)
They have strategy and they would charge at you randomly now instead of only when their comrade is killed or you shoot them to much.
The gravity hammer has the abillity to lock on......just like the energy sword.
But.....in order to get the gravity hammer you have to kill the red armoured brutes........which are tough.
The hammer can send a vehicle flying and can deflect grenades.
Its really great.
The Halo 1 rifle is reused!!!!But that does'nt mean the Halo 2 battle rifle is gone.
The spiker is sort of like a replacement for the brute shot(Although brutes still use them)
It has dual weilding capabillities.
The Mauler........now this is a good one.....
its kinda like a shotgun but it can be dual weilded.Imagine the possibilities!!!!!!!
New vehicles for both human and covenant:
The mongoose(Humans)
The Brute chopper(Covenant)
Hornet(Humans)
Prowler(Covenant)
And Elephant(Not that african mammal)
The mongoose is similar to the warthog in design and look but its more like a motorcycle.
It carries 2 people.1driver and 1 guy and 1 extra guy at the back to shoot stuff.
the Brute Chopper is a Ghost but fitted with brute shots instead of plasma cannons.It has also been given a face-life and it looks bulkier and bigger than the Ghost.
The Hornet.......is erm......like a flying troop carrier according to the picture.It can be piloted.Its like a helicopter and is similar to the Pelican(Not that bird witht he giant beak)
I have no idea what a prowler is......i think its a brute variant of the wraith.
Finally the Elephant is like a mobile base for the human marines.Its huge and looks 3 times the size of a Scorpion Tank.Its the biggest vehicle yet.
New grenades and tools:
Spiker grenades
Flare
Regenarator
Bubble shield
rader jammer
personal sheild
The spiker grenade is like a 1-hit K.O grenade.....no explantion needed
the regenerator recharges a plyers sheilds. Its handy if you are standing on a hill or under cover but its useless against 1-hit kill attacks.
The bubble sheild(As seen in the trailer, 'Starry Night') is a 360 degree sheild.There was some speculation that it was a sheild grenade but its actually quite big to be a grenade.
Rader jammer is useful in multiplayer......guess what it does.....
And the personal sheild is a weaker version of the Bubble Sheild.The personal Sheild protects only one side and not all around you but you can shoot through it if you are the user.
New features:
Marines now look different from each other
SGT Johnson actually aged
The environment interactable
The Scarab Walker is no longer just a big dumb target.It would hunt you down but it can be destroyed now
And the Marines are now more talkative......flip your warthog over and they call you a dumbass(Even though you greatly outrank them)
So looks like this is gonna be the game of the year.
